How can I tell which iPod will work with the Yamaha YDS-10 iPod dock?

The new generation (2007) iPod products and the Yamaha YDS-10 iPod docking station Apple added new authentication requirements to the TV output of the new generation iPod models. Since the Yamaha YDS-10 iPod docking station came out before this new requirement it will not support playback of video with the new iPod models. This will result in the following:

  1. iPod Nano 3rd Generation will only display the audio menu; the video will not be displayed.
  2. iPod Classic (80 or 160 gig) will only display the audio menu; the video will not be displayed.
  3. iPod Touch will only display the audio menu; the video will not be displayed.
