The FM/AM radio reception is poor on my receiver. What can I do?

Last Update: 02/24/2011

FM and AM reception will vary depending on your specific location.  Yamaha cannot guarantee radio reception in all locations.

Keep in mind that other sources like Wi-Fi routers, microwaves, cordless or cellular phones, baby monitors, etc. can cause radio interference.  In most cases the included antennas work just fine.

If your radio reception is less than adequate we would first suggested repositioning the antennas.  Simply moving the antenna or hanging it up on a wall can improve the reception.

You can also try a powered antenna to boost the radio signal.  Amplified antennas are available through your local electronics dealer.  Be sure to check the return and exchange period of the store to verify that you can return the powered antenna if need be.
