RX-V2500 Zone 2 Setup

How do I set up Zone 2 using the RX-V2500 internal power amplifier and the
Presence/Zone 2 speaker terminals.  

Note: Please make sure you have connected your speakers to the Presence/Zone 2
speaker posts.

Setting up Zone 2 on the RX-V2500 remote

1. Set the REC OUT/ZONE 2 dial on the front panel of the RX-V2500
    to SOURCE/REMOTE.
2. Set the AMP/SOURCE/TV switch to Source.
3. Press the DVD input button.
4. Press and hold the Learn button with a paper clip for 3 seconds.  L: DVD and DVD will flash alternatively on the remote LCD window.
5.  Press the arrow button to the right until you see L:AMP
6.  Press Enter and `2000` will appear in the remote LCD window.
7.  Enter in `2001`.
8.  Press Enter to set the number.  `OK` will appear in the remote LCD window if the setting was successful.  
9.  Press the Learn button to complete the Zone setup.

Powering Zone 2 using the RX-V2500 amplifier

1.  Set the REC OUT/ZONE 2 dial on the front panel of the RX-V2500 to SOURCE/REMOTE and press the Top button.(You can obtain instructions about getting into the Set Menu on page 62 of your Owner’s Manual.)
2.  Use the Arrow Up/Down button to select Manual Setup.
3.  Press the Arrow button to the Right to enter Manual Setup.
4.  Use the Arrow Up/Down button to select the number Option Menu.
5.  Press the Arrow button to the Right to enter the Option Menu.
6.  Use the Arrow Up/Down button to select Multi Zone.
7.  Press the Arrow button to the Right to enter Multi Zone.
8.  Use the Arrow Up/Down button to select Zone 2 Amplifier.
9.  Press the Arrow button to the Right to enter Zone 2 Amplifier options.
10. Press the Arrow button to the Left and Arrow Down to Zone 2 Volume.
11. Press the Arrow button to the Right and Arrow Up/Down to select Variable.
12. Press the Exit button to exit the Set Menu.

Controlling Zone 2

1. Press the Source Select Up arrow button until the Zone of choice appears
    in the remote LCD window.
2. Press the System Power button to power on your selected Zone.
3. Press an Input Selector button to select the Input Source you want to listen
    to in the Second or Third Zone.
4. The display window shows 2: name of selected input, if the remote control is
    in the Zone 2.

Notes:
1.  Inputs that are connected only with digital audio cables(Optical,Digital Coaxial and Multi Channel.),will not be output via Zone 2.
2.  The V-AUX and PHONO jacks cannot be sent to Zone 2.
