RX-V573 Speaker A & B Av Controller App Work Around

Last Update: 08/30/2012

A & B Speaker Operation using the AV Controller App

Currently the AV Controller App does not have a option for A & B speaker control on the RX-V573.

There is a work around for it and we will list examples of it below:

Scenario 1

Input HDMI 2 that uses a Set-Top Cable/Satellite box.

Set the receiver to HDMI 2 and set Speaker A on.

Press and hold down the TV Scene button down until it says `Set Complete` on the front panel.

Set the receiver to HDMI 2 and set Speaker A & B to on.

Press and hold down the Net Scene button down until it says `Set Complete` on the front panel.

Set the receiver to HDMI 2 and set Speaker B on only.

Press and hold down the Radio Scene button down until it says `Set Complete` on the front panel.

Now using the AV Controller App you can toggle between using the HDMI 2 input with A speaker on only, B Speaker on only or A & B speakers on at the same time.

Scenario 2

Input HDMI 1 that uses a DVD/Blu-ray.

Input HDMI 2 that uses a Set-Top Cable/Satellite box.

Set the receiver to HDMI 1 and set Speaker A on.

Press and hold down the BD/DVD scene button down until it says `Set Complete` on the front panel.

Set the receiver to HDMI 1 and set Speaker A & B to on.

Press and hold down the Net Scene button down until it says `Set Complete` on the front panel.

Set the receiver to HDMI 2 and set Speaker A on only.

Press and hold down the TV scene button down until it says `Set Complete` on the front panel.

Set the receiver to HDMI 2 and set Speaker A & B to on.

Press and hold down the Radio scene button down until it says `Set Complete` on the front panel.

Now using the AV Controller App you can toggle between using the HDMI 1 input with A speaker (Scene BD/DVD) on only or A & B speakers (Scene Net) on at the same time.

Now using the AV Controller App you can toggle between using the HDMI 2 input with A speaker (Scene TV) on only or A & B speakers (Scene Radio) on at the same time.

Granted this does take up the use of your scene buttons but it allows for a work around for the A & B speaker option.
