Basic hookup for analog CD listening would be Analog out from the CD player to the Audio 1 or Audio 2 input on the Yamaha receiver audio inputs. Digital Hookup would be Coaxial or Optical digital out (Depending on what your player supports) from the CD player to the AV2/AV3 Coaxial or AV1/AV4 Optical digital inputs.
