Can I connect audio output from my Yamaha AV receiver to a Yamaha Digital Sound Projector?

Last Update: 02/21/2008

In most cases, there is no need to use an A/V receiver in conjunction with Yamaha Digital Sound Projectors. If you decide to, connect the optical cable from the Yamaha AV receiver"s optical digital output to the TV/STB optical input on the Yamaha Digital Sound Projector. Connect the analog output from the receiver to the Sound Projectors TV/STB analog input. All the digital/analog sources chosen on the receiver will be sent out to the sound projector. NOTE: Most receivers output AM/FM/XM radio on the analog outputs only and will not convert to digital out. Discrete analog inputs on the A/V Receiver will not be output on the record outputs.
