1)To engage this function depress the [PAD] button .
TIP: The purpose of the pad is to reduce the level of a incoming signal which cannot be reduced at its source but that is too great for channel input. When the [GAIN] control is turned to minimum but the peak led is still registering an excessive signal ,engage the [pad] switch to reduce the signal to a controllable level. The gain control will now be functional and distortion will be avoided.
