The Timer function enables the user to set the recorder so that it will start recording or play a file or an alarm at a specified time.
NOTE: Before programming a timer, make sure that the date and time on the unit has been set correctly (see page 58).
1) Press and hold the [MENU/ENTER] button for at least two seconds while the main screen is displayed
2) Press the VOL [+] / [–] buttons to select [COMMON MENU], then [TIMER & ALARM], then press the [MENU/ENTER] button.
3) Press the VOL [+] / [–] buttons to select a setting item, then press the [MENU/ENTER] button. The unit displays the setting screen for the selected item. For details about each setting item, see pages 58–62.
4) To set the time press the VOL [+] / [–] buttons to highlight [ON] or [OFF], then press the [MENU/ENTER] button.
NOTE: OFF = The Timer function is disabled. ON = The Timer function is enabled.
5) To set repeated timer functions, press the VOL [+] / [–] buttons to highlight [ONCE], [DAILY] or [WEEKLY],then press the [MENU/ENTER] button.
NOTE: ONCE = The recorder will automatically record or play back once at the programmed time.
DAILY = The recorder will automatically record or play back everyday at the programmed time.
WEEKLY = The recorder will automatically record or play back at the programmed time on the programmed day of the week.
