Initializing a Multi:
1. Press the [MULTI] button.
2. Press the [UTILITY] button.
3. Use the PAGE [ < ] [ > ] buttons to display the [JobSel] screen.
4. Use the up or down buttons to select Initialize on the screen.
5. Press and hold the [SHIFT] button, then press the [ENTER] button three times.
6. Press the [EXIT] button twice.
Naming a Multi:
1. Press the [EDIT] button.
NOTE: If the [MUTE/SEL] button LED is ON, press it once to turn it OFF.
2. Use the PAGE [ < ] [ > ] buttons to display the 'General' screen.
3. Use the up or down button to navigate to 'Name' in the display.
4. Use the BANK [ < ] [ > ]buttons to select a character.
5. Use the Data wheel to change the character.
6. When finished, press the [EXIT] button.
Selecting Voices and Settings for Each Part:
1. Press the [MULTI] button twice.
NOTE: Multi light will turn red.
2. Press the [CATEGORY SEARCH] button.
3. Use the BANK [ < ] [ > ] buttons to select a category.
4. Select a voice.
5. Press (and hold) the [SHIFT] button.
6. Press the Part [ < ] [ > ] button to select the next part .
NOTE: Steps 2-4 are for one part (track), and this process, if needed, is to be repeated for the other parts.
7. Repeat steps 2-6.
Storing the Multi:
1. Press (and hold down) the [SHIFT] button.
2. Press the [UTILITY] button.
3. Press the [ENTER] button twice.
Bulk dumping a Multi:
NOTE: A bulk dump is information recorded by an external MIDI recorder. Either DAW software or an external hardware MIDI sequencer is required for this process.
NOTE: The MIDI track, in the external sequencer, is required to be empty before this process is started.
1. Press the [UTILITY] button.
2. Use the PAGE [ < ] [ > ] buttons to display the [JobSel] screen.
3. Use the up or down button to select Bulk Dump.
4. Start the external sequencer recording.
5. Press and hold the [SHIFT] button.
6. Press the [ENTER] button two times.
NOTE: The screen displays 'Transmitting MIDI Bulk', while the data is being transmitted. After the message disappears, the external sequencer should be stopped. The file should be saved as a MIDI (.MID) file.
