Long Scale Bass Strings are Too Short for my Bass. What Strings Should I buy?
- With the exception of DR brand strings, long scale strings are designed to fit 34 inch scale, top loading basses.
- If the bass has a scale longer than 34", or if it is a string thru the body bass type bass, then it requires extra-long strings often sold as "super long".
- To determine the length needed, add the scale length plus 1.25 inches if strung thru the body .
