Long Scale Strings are Too Short for my String Thru the Body Bass

Last Update: 06/14/2012

Long scale strings, with the exception of DR strings, are designed to fit 34" scale, top loading basses. Manufacturers typically use the shortest string length possible.

If the instrument has a longer scale than 34" or if it is a string thru the body bass, it will require extra-long or super long strings.
