Restoring the Original Factory Setup Data

Last Update: 11/14/2013

This information applies to the following Yamaha keyboard models: PSR9000 and the 9000PRO.

To put all the original factory settings and Styles back into the PSR9000/9000PRO, the data must be loaded from two Factory Data disks.

NOTE: The 9000PRO was originally shipped with the Factory Data Setup data on disks, however, the PSR9000 was not.

If necessary, the two Factory Data Setup disks may be downloaded from:
  • Downloading Factory Setup Data for the PSR9000: Disk 1 and Disk 2

  • Downloading Factory Setup Data for the 9000PRO: Disk 1 and Disk 2

WARNING: The following steps will overwrite the current data with the original Factory Data. Specific Factory Data may be selected for loading.

Insert Disk 1.Press the [NEXT] button. The 'USER DATA BACKUP' page will appear. Click here to view. Press the appropriate or LCD button below the screen to toggle the desired data backup option(s) 'ON' or 'OFF'. The data options listed are 'SETUP', 'STYLE, 'OTS' (One Touch Setting), 'REGISTRATION', 'MUSIC DATABASE', and 'MULTIPAD'. Press the [NEXT] button. Press the [G] button to select 'YES'. This will load the Factory Data from Disk 1 into the keyboard. The 'Please insert the next disk' prompt will appear in the screen when the data has finished loading. Insert Disk 2. Press the [G] button to select 'YES'. This will copy the remaining Factory Data from Disk 2. The screen will then display 'Completed' indicating the data has been successfully loaded into the keyboard. Press the [EXIT] button three times to return to the main screen.
