MIDI Mode Options

Last Update: 11/30/2012

There are two MIDI modes on a PSS480/680: Keyboard Assign mode and Sound Source mode.

Keyboard Assign mode is used when the keyboard is the MIDI Controller.

Sound Source mode is used when the keyboard is to be controlled by other MIDI equipment and used as a Multi Timbral sound source.
To change MIDI modes:
1) Press the [MIDI MODE] button. The display will read, 'c.00'. This means that the 'Keyboard Assign' mode (default) has been selected.

2) To select the 'Sound Source' mode, press the 'VALUE' [+] button. The display will read, 'c.99'.
TIP: It is possible to switch back and forth between these two modes by using the VALUE [+] and [-] buttons.
