Polyphony Issues - Losing Notes or Dropping Out

Last Update: 05/24/2012

'Polyphony' - The maximum number of notes that may be played by an instrument at any time before experiencing note droppage or loss.

NOTE: On every electronic instrument there is a limit to the number of notes that it can play at a given time.  This note limit is referred to as 'polyphony'.  If an instrument has, say 32 notes of polyphony, note drop or loss will be
experienced if your playing or song exceeds 32 notes at any given instant.

The goal is not to find the limit, but to avoid it.  The best use of the instrument may require that you simplify or lessen the number of notes being used in your song recording (playback) to resolve an issue of note loss.
