CGP1000 Compared to AvantGrand

Last Update: 11/03/2010

The CGP1000 uses three-point multisampling: left, right, and rear center. AvantGrand (AVG) uses four-point acoustic sampling, which includes left, right, center, and rear. In the AVG the sampling is done much closer to the soundboard, so the sound from each location is clearly sampled. In addition, the AvantGrand uses the spatial acoustic speaker system, which mimics the original locations from which the samples were taken, recreating the depth of the piano through a wall of sound, rather than a single point of sound, and creating a more realistic tone that can be enjoyed by all who hear it.
