Using Two Voices From the Same Group in Dual or Split Mode

Last Update: 11/30/2012

In Dual or Split mode, one Voice must be selected from the Voice Banks on the top row (A) and the second Voice must be selected from the Voice Banks on the bottom row (B).

NOTE: Row 'A' 1-8 corresponds to Bank 1, Row 'A' 9-16 corresponds to Bank 2, Row 'B' 1-8 corresponds to Bank 3, and Row 'B' 9-16 corresponds Bank 4.

A way to utilize two Voices from the same Group in Dual or Split mode is to load the same Group into Voice Bank 1 or 2 (Row A) AND Voice Bank 3 or 4 (Row B) .

NOTE: Memory Protection must be turned off before proceeding.

Turning off Memory Protection:
1) Press the [FUNCTION] button to get into 'Function' mode.

2) Press the [16] button 'Memory Protect' to get to the Memory Protect screen.

3) Press the [-1/NO] button to turn off Memory Protect.
NOTE: Memory Protection is enabled every time the unit is turned on, therefore the preceeding procedure will need to be performed each time.

Storing the Voice Group to a Memory Bank:
NOTE: For this example, it is assumed that the desired Voices are already loaded in Voice Bank 1 or 2.

1) Identify the Group in which the Voice to be loaded to Bank 3 or 4 (Row B) is located (see Group/Voice table below).

2) While still in 'Function' mode, press the [11] button 'Load Internal Memory'.

3) Press the [+1/YES] button.

4) Select the Group number to load that contains the desired voices by pressing the [1] - [16] button in Row 'A'.

5) Press the [+1/YES] button to confirm the selection.

6) Press the [3] or [4] button to select the Bank to which the chosen Voice Group will be loaded.

NOTE: Row 'A' 1-8 corresponds to Bank 1, Row 'A' 9-16 corresponds to Bank 2, Row 'B' 1-8 corresponds to Bank 3, and Row 'B' 9-16 corresponds Bank 4.

7) Press the [+1/YES] button to complete the loading process.
