How to Add Auto-Accompaniment When Creating Songs. MO6/MO8

When recording in the Song mode, arpeggios make it easy to add automatic accompaniment using a variety of voices. Refer to the procedure described below.

1. Carry out steps 1 through 7 of Q13.

2. Press the [F3]:ARP button. Also press the panel [ARPEGGIO ON/OFF] button to enable the arpeggio function.

3. Position the cursor at the Ctgr item in the display and use the data dial to select an arpeggio category.
   The GtPl (guitar and plucked) is selected in the example below (Refer to Arpeggio Type Categories on page 145 of the owners manual.)

4. Position the cursor at the Type item in the display and use the data dial to select an arpeggio type.
   The PartSw item in the display must be turned on in order to use the arpeggio function.

  CAUTION: The default setting for the PartSw item of parts 2 and above is off.

5. Press the [F4]:RECARP button, position the cursor at the RecArp item in the display and turn it on.

6. Press the SEQ TRANSPORT play button to begin real-time recording. Play in time with the click sound.

7. Press the SEQ TRANSPORT [n] (stop) button when youre ready to stop real-time recording.

After recording arpeggios using the above procedure press the panel [ARPEGGIO ON/OFF] button to turn the arpeggio function off.
