AI Functions is hardware/software integration function that was jointly developed by Yamaha and Steinberg.
Enabling AI Functions allows seamless integration of the MOTIF ES/XS with Steinberg DAW software including Cubase4, Cubase Studio4, and Cubase AI4. Pre-programmed project templates allow fast, efficient input and output bus settings for VST connections, and audio driver and remote controller settings are made automatically as well. It is also possible to load songs created using the internal MOTIF XS sequencer as Cubase projects.

Extension for Steinberg DAW Yamaha Steinberg FW Driver * It is necessary to connect the MOTIF XS to the computer via IEEE1394 (the MOTIF XS6 and XS7 require the optional mLAN16E2 for IEEE1394 connectivity), and use the AI Driver (song load function excepted).
