Creating a Layer/Split on the Mox6, Mox8

 

***We recommend starting with an initialized performance for this tutorial.

 

1  First, press the [PERFORM] button.

2  Press [JOB]

3  Press the [ENTER] button twice to initialize the performance.

 

Creating a Layer/Split

 

1  After initializing the performance press the [EXIT] button to go back to the main performance screen.

2  Press [F2] for voice.

3  With an Initial Performance one voice will be selected on Part 1.  To add voices to parts 2,3, and/or 4 cursor down to each part and push the [INC] button.   

4  To select a custom voice for each part cursor to that part and push the [CATEGORY SEARCH] button to choose a voice then the [ENTER] button to return to the previous screen. 

 

***NOTE: all selected voice will be layered at this point of the procedure.  Continue to split the voices.

 

5  To select the note range for the upper side of the keyboard hold [SF4] for “LIMIT L” then press a key to indicate the split point for the upper side of the keyboard.

6  To select the note range for the lower side of the keyboard hold [SF5] for ‘LIMIT H” then press a key to indicate the split point for the Lower voice.

 

***NOTE: be sure to store your settings to a USER Performance by pressing the [Store] button.
