What is the difference between a large bore and small bore trombone?

Last Update: 12/12/2013

Large bore instruments usually require more work and air. However, the sound and tone can be fuller and more resonant. Smaller bore instruments are typically seen in student and entry level models. As a beginner small bore instruments require less air to produce a good sound.
